Fulfilment Network Stock Keeping Unit (FNSKUFNSKU ) is a unique code used by Amazon to track and manage products stored and shipped through its fulfilment centres (FBA – Fulfilment by Amazon).
What Does an FNSKU Do?
The FNSKU tells Amazon exactly which seller a product belongs to.
- It links the item to the seller’s account
- It helps track inventory and sales
- It ensures the right seller gets credit for each sale
How It’s Used
Each product sent to Amazon’s warehouse needs an FNSKU label.
- Amazon scans the FNSKU when items are received and shipped
- It’s different from a barcode or manufacturer’s SKU
- You get the FNSKU from Amazon Seller Central when creating a product listing
Example
If two sellers offer the same water bottle, each one will have a different FNSKU, so Amazon knows whose stock to send when an order comes in.
